A professional couple came to us with a great project idea but at the same time a complicated site.  The site elevation dropped dramatically to the northwest which allowed for a wonderful view of the Arkansas river.  However careful consideration had to be taken with building placement as to avoid steep drives, existing water retention, and solar gain on the west and south facing elevations.  The clients were looking for a modern home but with a craftsman style twist.
